Agencies Involved: Ventura City Fire, Ventura County Fire Department, AMR
On the above date and time, fire units were dispatched to a reported structure fire. Firefighters arrived within 5 minutes of dispatch to find a multi-unit residence with fire in one of the units.
The resident of the unit involved with fire was outside complaining of smoke inhalation. Paramedic firefighters on scene treated the patient and knocked down the fire within 20 minutes of arrival. AMR transported the patient to a local hospital for further evaluation.
Due to a quick and aggressive attack on the fire, firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading into any adjacent units.
Crews remained on scene for an additional 2-hours to thoroughly overhaul the affected areas and ensure complete extinguishment. .
