One Injury in Highway 166 Vehicle Collision

One person sustained injuries after a vehicle crashed 50 feet over the side of Highway 166 Sunday morning.

At 7:53 a.m., Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded with Calstar helicopter and the Los Padres National Forest Service to 1/2 mile east of Rockfront Ranch on Highway 166. Crews discovered a single vehicle had crashed 50 feet over the side of the roadway.

A single female occupant was trapped inside the vehicle and required extrication from the vehicle before receiving treatment and transportation to the hospital.

California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
