El Presidente Colin Hayward Presents Official Old Spanish Days Poster

The 2026 Fiesta poster features a variety of Mexican and Old Spanish Days elements, along with iconic Santa Barbara landmarks in a celebration of Old Spanish Days. El Presidente 2026 Colin Hayward  unveiled the artwork along with La Primera Dama Monica Hayward.

The poster vision of El Presidente Haywward was brought to life by local artist Pedro De La Cruz who spent six months working on this year’s Fiesta poster.

Scenes including dancing flamencas, mariachis, vaqueros on horseback, the Old Mission, Casa De La Guerra and Saint Barbara’s famed tower are all included in this year’s edition celebrating the 103rd edition of Old Spanish Days Fiesta.

“The font used on the poster for the word Fiesta is a duplication of our traditional Fiesta font that we have used since the 40’s,” said El Presidente Hayward during the much-anticipated poster unveil. “We wanted the poster to blend in with posters that Old Spanish Days has created for more than 100 years.”

Old Spanish Days posters have been created for most Fiestas since the inaugural community-wide celebration in 1924.

Three exclusive metal prints of this year’s poster will be featured in a special auction during the La Primavera celebration at El Paseo Restaurant on May 2. The evening will also be highlighted by the first official dance performed by this year’s Spirit of Fiesta Jenna Ramirez and Junior Spirit Penny Hernandez. Tickets are on sale and details can be found at sbfiesta.org. Printed posters are available at Ace Hardware Home Improvement Center in Santa Barbara, the Santa Barbara Historical Museum, Old Mission Santa Barbara and at Flag Factory in Carpinteria. On-line orders at sbfiesta.org.

The Fiesta pin will be unveiled next. Fiesta Forever is this year’s Old Spanish Days theme. Fiesta 2026 runs August 5-9, 2026. Details, tickets and more at sbfiesta.org
