I at first thought it might be one of the 3 homeless men who were waking up and doing their morning rituals on the sidewalk next to the dolphin statue. do they swim in the ocean to bathe, urinate or defecate or is that done right there on the sidewalk or in the sand? this was at 7:30 a.m. Would the harbor patrol deal with this or the police or mental health workers?

There should be a few lifeguards on Harbor Patrol jet skis monitoring all the rentals. Not "enforcement" but guidance. Renters are supposed to read through and sign a list of rules and harbor etiquette, but who really reads those things?

I agree, we need more bodies out there! The problem in SB is a deep one, it's too expensive so jobs that don't pay much won't attract employees

Apparently a canoe (probably a rental kayak) went under the wharf and needed help
