November General Election is Days Away

The November General Municipal Election is only one week away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Be sure to vote – this is your chance to make your voice heard on a local and national level!

Ballot Return Options:

Once the ballot is voted and the envelope is signed, the voter has several options for returning the ballot so that it can be counted.

  • United States Postal Service: Voters can return their voted ballot by mail, with no postage necessary, and ballots must be postmarked by Election Day.
  • Drop Boxes: The Elections Office provides several drop boxes located throughout Santa Barbara County, which are available 24 hours a day until 8 p.m. on Election Day. To avoid concerns about postal delivery delays, voters are encouraged to utilize a drop box, with locations including City Hall, MacKenzie Park, Eastside Library, and more. A list of all drop box locations can be found here.
  • Polling Location: Voters may return their voted ballot to any polling location on Election Day. A list of Polling Locations can be found here.
  • Elections Offices in Santa Barbara County: Each of the three Elections Offices in Santa Barbara County accepts voted ballots and offers a full range of voter services, including the option to vote in person if desired.

  • Saturday, November 2 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m

Track Your Ballot:

Voters can sign up to track their ballot at WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov.

If you missed the 15-day deadline to register to vote before the General Election, you can register conditionally and vote a ballot at any polling place or Elections Office in Santa Barbara County. Please check election-specific information for locations and dates. A conditional voter fills out a provisional ballot that is counted once their eligibility is confirmed.
