When I wrote about the century-old Pershing Park bandshell five years ago*, it was a sorry sight. Bedraggled, dirty, and chained off. All that was missing was a sign saying, “I’d walk on past if I were you.”
Today, this 125-year-old little cutie has been reborn thanks to a bunch of TLC from the SB Parks & Recreation folks and lots of other helpers.
The first concert was held Wednesday, and it was a fun and friendly time to sit in the grass under the trees and enjoy the music of the Prime Time Band. More concerts will surely follow.
