Nipomo Youth Pastor Arrested for Child Molestation

DETAILS OF NEWS RELEASE:

In September of 2022, Sheriff’s Detectives received a report of a suspected on-going child molestation that occurred in Nipomo between 2005 and 2008.

The investigation revealed the suspect Jeffrey York, who at that time was a Youth Pastor at New Beginnings Community Church in Nipomo, had contact with a male victim and had sexually assaulted him for years.

Over the course of several months, Detectives completed a comprehensive investigation which led to obtaining an arrest warrant. At that time York was believed to be living in Portland, OR.

Detectives were in the process of apprehending York in Oregon when on 3-27-2023, during routine patrol, South Station Deputies located a vehicle registered to Jeffrey York out of Portland, OR parked in the 600 block of El Camino Real in Arroyo Grande. Deputies contacted Detectives and advised them York was in Arroyo Grande.

York was arrested and booked into County Jail on 2 counts of oral copulation by duress, 2 counts of lewd acts with a child under 14 with force and other various charges. Bail was set at $400,000.

  1. Chillin, wtf does that mean? Who are you talking about man? Name some names so people can see what you’re about. I know you and a couple other regular posters here have called me that name, among others, which is ridiculous.
    Pedophiles tend to find their way into places where they can get close to kids – priests, pastors, youth group/Boy Scout leaders. Personally, I’d never let my kid have anything to do with ‘the church’, or the Boy Scouts for that matter. So call me a Qanon?

    • “The drag show stuff is about not wasting money on education” Except the rethuglican cancel culture warriors want to shut these shows down on private property, attended by people that use their own money to attend, and protested by the right who has called the drag performers perverts and groomers-so it seems very low information to believe it has something to do with “wasting money on education.” The church has a long, extensive and sordid history in the abuse of children.
