West Beach Dredging Complete

Crews have completed dredging of the large shoal of sand located off West Beach, an area popular with paddlers and dingy sailors. Although this winter was mild, several large swells during the preceding three winters deposited over 70,000 cubic yards of sand, creating an area that was shallow and difficult to navigate.
