By edhat staff

Santa Barbara County firefighters rescued two dogs from a Hope Ranch cliff on Saturday evening.

At 5:58 p.m., one engine, one truck, and a Battalion Chief responded to an area east of Hope Ranch Beach and discovered two dogs approximately thirty feet down.

A high-angle rope system was put into place to perform the rescue.

Both dogs were successfully rescued and reunited with their owner.

  1. Charge the owner a fee per dog and they will keep them leashed close to cliffs. They might anyhow, but some people need monetary incentive: When individual ketsups are free, people take handfuls; if they cost a few cents, people consider how many they will actually use.
