Structure Fire at Hyatt Hotel

Santa Barbara City Firefighters responded to a structure fire at the Hyatt Hotel on Sunday morning.

Just after 10:00 a.m., fire crews responded to 1111 E. Cabrillo Blvd where the hotel is currently under construction. 

Sprinklers went off in the building after a roofing and torching project started a fire within a wall, according to John Palminteri. 

The extent of the damage has yet to be released.
