  1. No, I’m a single mother with a child of my own, working my butt off full time in an *actual* service-based job putting food on the table. You know, trying to keep her out of harm’s way of hunger and ignorant people. For your information, I purposefully divorced a Montecito husband because I, good sir, am not for sale. Hence the working my butt off now to provide for my child (even though I, according to you, don’t care about children). What’s YOUR claim to fame other than being agitating? What do you contribute to a child, children, local economy or community, besides being wildly incorrect online? I’m part of the underpaid workforce that keeps this community alive while getting only the scant reward of a roof over our heads. Don’t be a fool. It’s not your color.

  2. God, this is criminal. They cannot forecast with certainly that this storm, or any other storm in the future, will not develop into a heavy rain event that will cause another debris flow as bad or worse that the January 9 flow. At least get the children and old people out of the extreme danger slide zone.

  3. All I’m seeing on the 10-day forecast is a bit of overcast. Like NatureBoy, I want rain so badly . . . but not if it will endanger others and cause more misery.
@THEREALBEBE. You really need to take a breath and reread your posts before you post. You come across as quite angry and self-righteous. Very repellant.

  4. I do not understand why you have chosen to make light of those who perished in the mudslides. Nothing remotely humorous about this recent tragedy. Go ahead and please leave at the slightest amount of precipitation….oh, are we supposed to all laugh now? Shameful.

  5. Fair enough. But how many do you think will actually listen to the evacuation orders when/if they come? And aren’t we all responsible for our (and our children’s) safety and wellbeing? If folks are nervous, they should absolutely leave of their own accord, and not wait for somebody else to tell them. Likewise with rebuilding. Now we know the risks. All who choose to stay will do so of their own volition. Not a one can claim ignorance now.
