Snowfall in the Mountains

Snow can be seen atop West Camino Cielo and Santa Ynez Peak above Lake Cachuma Wednesday morning as a strong winter storm approaches Southern California.

  1. We were hoping to take the kiddos up there later today to make a few snowballs or possibly a smallish snowman. Just put all-season tires on my car so I’m assuming that will be good enough as I doubt snow chains would be required. Haven’t been up Gibraltar Road in a while, but I think it will be safer to go up the 154 and through Painted Cave. May even bring an ice chest with me to bring back some of that there snow!!!
