Sheriff Searches for Burglary Suspect

The Sheriff’s Office has received recent reports of a prowler and possible auto burglary suspect in the Vandenberg Village area. The unknown suspect has been caught on camera checking cars in driveways and going inside vehicles to search for items to steal.

We are asking residents in the Vandenberg Village, Mission Hills, Mesa Oaks, and Village Country Club area to check their home surveillance cameras for possible footage of a suspect going through their vehicles or property.

The suspect photo attached is from February 11th. He was captured on video in two different areas in the county area of Lompoc.

Deputies encourage residents from these areas look through their vehicles and make sure they are not missing any valuables or garage door openers. Deputies are also looking for those who have been victimized or have video that could lead to the apprehension of this suspect.
