It was 3:30 am in the Winter Time in North West Indiana and Colder than a Serial Killers Heart. In North West Indiana it can get mighty cold during the Winter especially close to the Lake, Michigan that is. I worked at Land O Frost and had to be there at 6am with no car it was walkin or hitchin, I did both walkin in the snow 10 miles or so took a good 2 hours. I did not always get a ride many times I walked it was usually below zero with a colder wind chill this certain Morning. I had been hitchin only a couple blocks when a guy pulled over and gave me a ride. He was about 35 or so slightly overweight short hair glasses, the kind of glasses made him look smart like a professor or something, the vehicle he picked me up in a 1975 Ford Granada with red interior. I got in the car looking straight ahead I blew on my hands and rubbed them together really fast to warm up. I told him I was going to North Hammond to work at Land O Frost, Land O Frost was a meatpacking company sold lunch meats mostly thin sandwich meats in packages. They also sold Turkey-Ham in little 2 or 3 pound hunks, not bad tasting they sold other meats but those were the most popular. I was a laborer, packaged the meat, unloaded trucks, transported meat on pallets with a hand truck, broke up the ice in the freezers with a sledgehammer when they needed defrosting. I was talking a mile a minute like I always do to this guy who picked me up small talk really when I noticed he hadn’t said a word not one word so I kinda turned around to look at him and things were a little weird to say the least. He was sitting sorta sideways facing me with his left foot operating the gas and brake his right leg on the car seat almost touching me he had a weird smirk on his face and I got a creepy feeling about this situation luckily we were close to my destination . I said “I’ll be gettin out right about here.” He kept drivin I said again “I need to get out my work is right over there.” I pointed backwards. “He Says…”You are not going to work today.”
There were no electric locks in this car we were only going ten, fifteen mph can’t go that fast on snow and ice. I opened the door and as he made a grab for me the wheel spinning the vehicle when it stopped off I went. I couldn’t hitch on Hohman Avenue after that, I had to go to Calumet Avenue that was a good mile out of my way had to leave at 3:am to get to work by 6:am if I hitched on Hohman I’d run into this weirdo again. Every morning I set foot toward Calumet Avenue. I got more rides but the walk tore me up and after a few days I went back to Hohman. Sure enough the Weirdo was cruisin. I started getting real paranoid quit hitchin and started walking the alleys. One day he figured it out he was in the alley waiting for me. I had begun to carry a fixed blade knife and was so scared I threw it at him damaging his Granada, that pissed him off but I got away. I quit showing up for work after that and soon lost my job. I went over into Calumet City got a job at McDonalds going the other way. I did not have to worry about running into the weirdo. Then one day my boss picked me up for work and there he was he followed us scaring the crap out of the boss. We parked got into the restaurant and locked up calling the PD. Really not much they could do then suddenly I snapped and went out the door after the S.O.B. He was sitting in his car at the end of the driveway when I ran up and started yelling at him looking down into his vehicle there was a gun sitting there on the seat next to him and he slowly reached for it. I told him to go ahead and shoot me if that is what he wanted to do. He laughed then slowly drove away and that was the last I saw of him. I quit McDonalds that day and got a job at Burger King across the street. Tales of the Serial Worker. Will I bet that scared the Shit out of you. Maybe tomorrow you’ll show up at work to show a new employee around and it will be me, You just never know where the Serial Worker is going to show up next…..Happy Halloweener.

- 1800 Block of Sunset 6 or 7 Gangtypes tried to open up reporting parties vehicle door.
- 415 Subject as in 415pc 816 Cacique.
- Medical call unknown type at Nordstroms 17 West Canon Perdido.
- A suicidal subject on the West Side is Drunk and wants to step in front of a train.
- Med Call Unknown type at the Police Station 215 East Figueroa.
- 415 Female in Chase Bank yelling then charging up her cell phone.
- 415pc at PATH 816 Cacique.
- Squatter in the back yard of a residence in the 900 Block of Alphonse.
- Check the Welfare of a Pit Bull mix in the back of a brown pickup truck that was trying to get out on the freeway the vehicle exited Los Positas Southbound from Highway 101
- 415pc Subject running back and forth in the street 100 Block of State street
- 415pc Subject was yelling in front of Best Western in the 300 Block of West Cabrillo now laying down in the street
- 1300 Block of Euclid medical call.

- Smoke or Fire check highway 101 Southbound at Evans Summerland possible BonFire none found.
- Theft of beer 340 West Carrillo the Arco station suspect white male slender 6′ tall in his 20’s wearing a green tracksuit and a red back pack.
- Suicidal Female calling in for herself on the West Side.
- Suspicious circumstances male climbed through a window of the Alano Club 235 East Cota and while on the phone went back out through the door BMA. I wonder if they have squatters over there.
