The man was taken to Ventura County Medical Center where he is listed in critical condition.

Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to call the Oxnard Police Department or Ventura County Crime Stoppers, 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

  1. Good grief. Someone asked why there was a difference in the news of the young man being injured then it said he passed. I gave what I thought was a logical answer and got deleted. Doesn’t make any sense to me. Maybe the voter could explain.

  2. Flicka – There are about five sewer rats we inherited when the NHawk and Indy comments sections sank that downvote people who have disagreed with them, no matter what the subsequent topic or comment content.

  3. People who use the down vote should routinely be listed the same way other commenters are, and if they use down vote w/o serious reason (obscene, incites violence and so forth) too often should be warned, then deleted if they can’t function in a society that made freedom of speech into a law. Allowing them to function in anonymity just encourages bullies and cowards.
