Santa Barbara County Firefighters have stopped the forward progress of a one-acre fire near Dos Pueblos Ranch on Tuesday afternoon.
At 3:57 p.m., firefighters arrived on the scene near Highway 101 outside the western edge of Goleta. Crews discovered approximately one acre of vegetation burning on the oceanside of the train tracks.
Train traffic was stopped in the area as crews were able to stop forward progress. There were no injuries or structures threatened.
The cause is under investigation and crews will remain on scene to strengthen containment lines.
