  2. @Fond, please get off of Fox and Newsmax. Your statement has nothing to do with anything; it’s just a regurgitation of the fear and anger that they like to feed to your Boomer age group. You really do eat it up like sheep. Stay angry. Stay afraid. Tightly clasp that fear to your bosom, and wear it like a badge of honor and a flag of the “good ol’ days” that honestly, were only “wonderful” until YOUR generation’s greed and gluttony screwed it up for those who came after you. You are the only chance the dinosaurs have to stay in power. Stay angry. Stay afraid.

  3. Maybe we’re looking at these continuing fights all wrong: Instead of paying them through free medical and so forth, reclassify them as entertainment and sell tickets to watch the “gladiators.”
    There’d be some upfront costs. Combatants would have to work-out, turn lard to muscle so their bodies would look better all oiled up. They’d need snappy costumes too, but maybe their associates would work on that when they’re in custody unless they couldn’t be trusted with needles. Whadda think: Should it be to the death of one or the other as those things ran in the past? That would appeal to a large segment of the audience if recent mob violence is any indication, but it would add a cost for burial….
