More Apartments for Hollister Village?

Below is a notice from the City of Goleta about a public hearing on 27 more housing units at the Hollister Village Apartments. Aren’t there already a ton of apartments there? Is there room for more?


The City Council will conduct a public hearing regarding the Proposed 27-unit Hollister Village Apartments at the May 21, 2019 City Council meeting

The City Council will conduct a public hearing regarding the Proposed 27-unit Hollister Village Apartments (14 studio and 13 one-bedroom units) with associated General Plan land use and zoning designation changes, lot line adjustment, development plan revisions and setback modifications located on a 1.84-acre site located at 7000 Hollister Avenue; APN: 073-030-026, -027, -028, & -033; Case No. 18-152-GPA-RZ-LLA-DPRV. Due to the nature of this item, we are releasing it early to allow the public to have ample time to review. The complete packet of the May 21, 2019 City Council meeting agenda will be released on May 16, 2019.  Written submittals concerning agenda items may be sent to the City Clerk’s e-mail: dlopez@cityofgoleta.org; or mail: Attn: City Council and City Clerk at 130 Cremona Drive, Suite B Goleta, California 93117. In order to be disseminated to the City Council for consideration during the Council meeting, written information must be submitted to the City Clerk no later than Monday, May 20, 2019, at noon. Material received after this time may not be reviewed by the City Council prior to the meeting.
