Map Released of Flood and Debris Flow Areas

Yesterday, Friday, January 6, the County of Santa Barbara held a press conference and released a map indicating areas of increased risk for flood/debris flows due to the recent burn areas. 

Several sections of Montecito, Toro Canyon, all of Carpinteria, and Rincon are among the most at risk. As well as a small section of western Goleta, near Tecolote Canyon is in a risk area. View the interactive map below and here: http://bit.ly/2lYXRFO.

The National Weather Service is predicting rain for early next week. (http://www.weather.gov/lox/). Officials are advising that now is the time to be prepared for potential storm impacts.  Learn more on the City of Goleta’s website here and on the County’s website here.
