Lyft Partners with UCSB Athletics

Lyft, the fastest growing rideshare company in the U.S., announced will become the first rideshare company to sponsor the University of California, Santa Barbara athletic seasons from Fall 2018 through Fall 2021.

The three-year partnership begins during this weekend’s men’s soccer game versus Westmont on Saturday, August 18 at Harder Stadium and will feature an exclusive Lyft pick-up and drop-off area at the Stadium Road entrance. Giveaways, discounted rides and fun Gaucho-themed activities are some of the additional perks that Lyft passengers will experience during each athletic season.

“Smart and convenient rides to and from UCSB events are the shared commitment of both Lyft and the school’s athletic programs,” said Elliot Greenberger, Market Manager of Lyft Southern California. “Lyft is happy to provide an affordable and reliable option to help this year’s students, athletes and fans get to the games without worrying about a ride home.”
