Hit and Run Witness on Las Positas

By an edhat reader

Last night (10/1/18 at around 9:00 pm) I witnessed a hit and run at the intersection of Las Positas and Calle Real.

An old white construction truck/tow truck with no company logos was on the far right lane to go down Calle Real towards the Earl Warren Showgrounds when the driver last minute decided to turn left on to Las Positas hitting a sedan ( I think it was a Prius?)

I pulled a u-turn near Earl Warren to go offer myself as a witness but there was no one. I decided to go down to the Mobil station and pull a u-turn and the tow truck was there. Two Caucasian guys, tall, maybe late 40s early 50s, one had black shoulder length hair, the other dark blonde/light brown hair. They were both looking at their car for damage when I pulled in and made eye contact with them.

Apparently the look on my face obviously said I know what you guys just did, because they jumped in their tow truck/construction truck and screeched out of that gas station. I’m hoping Mobil has surveillance cameras that can show the license plate for this car. I called the police and offered my contact information.

The 911 operator was not helpful and already seemed to not have hope for this so if the person that got hit is an edhat reader or you know this person, please have them contact edhat (ed@edhat.com) to exchange information.
