On Tuesday afternoon, Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to a report of a vehicle crashing into a building in the 3800 block of Berwyn Drive in Santa Maria.
Upon arrival, crews discovered a 102-year-old woman was driving her sedan and accidentally stepped on the gas instead of the brake, causing the vehicle to crash into her garage.
The woman sustained minor injuries and was transported to Marian Regional Medical Center by a ground ambulance as a precaution.
The garage also sustained minor damage.
