Santa Barbara County Firefighters responded to an early morning structure fire on Wednesday at the Landsby Hotel in Solvang.

At 5:21 a.m., fire crews along with an ambulance and Sheriff Deputies responded to 1576 Mission Drive. Crews found smoke coming from the kitchen area of the hotel and discovered a fire burning in the wall of the kitchen that extended through the subfloor in the basement, said Captain Dave Zaniboni.

Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading further and kept it contained to that area.

The hotel was safely evacuated and there were no reported injuries. All guests were able to return to their rooms and the hotel is able to stay open, although the kitchen area will remain closed until repairs are complete.

An investigator is on the scene to determine the cause of the fire.
