Dogs of the Week: Sadie and Yuma

Source: Santa Barbara County Animal Services

Sadie (long hair) and Yuma (shepherd mix) are a bonded pair with a sad story to tell. They are both seniors (9 and 10 years old) and their owner recently passed away. They had no where else to go, so they ended up at the shelter. A few days ago, thanks to funding by K-9 PALS – K-9 Placement and Assistance League, Inc.we were able to perform a dental with extractions and a few growth removals on Sadie. We REALLY want to keep these two together, as they are quite dependent on one another. It’s hard enough to find a home for an older dog in the shelter, and it will be doubly hard to find a home for two. We don’t want this sweet pair to spend an extended period of time in a kennel. Please share far and wide so we can report a happy ending! You can meet Sadie and Yuma at our Santa Barbara Shelter located at 5473 Overpass Road.
