Crushcakes was hit twice this morning for their Tip Jar in Santa Barbara. The first time was a white male adult (WMA) in his late 20’s, 5’9″ and wearing a jacket and a red flannel blanket. He was last seen West Bound on Victoria.

Legally and ethically, the servers still must be paid their tips earned (or an estimation), it is not on the employees to bear the consequences of a crime committed against the business. The business has insurance to cover this type of thing.
Any tip is better than no tip at all..

Tips are for customers who want to show appreciation; wages are what workers accept if they want the job. Not related.
If you are willing to pay 20 dollars for a cupcake or 13.00 for a cup of coffee then sure let’s take away to tips.Nobody can pay a living wage selling cupcakes.
It sucks these people work hard serving others only to have their tips ripped off by free loading scum.

Correct, although when paying cash the small change is usually left on the table.
it’s getting a bit more common to tip. General rule if you enjoyed your meal and the service was good, you leave a tip @ 5-10%
