Cedar Waxwings

Saturday was a beautiful Spring day to be out for a picnic.

Apparently, these Cedar Waxwings thought so too as they dined on juicy loquats.

  1. One hundred years ago, farmers in our area used to call Cedar Waxwings “cherry birds” because they ate so many cherries. Beautiful birds! Beautiful pix – in one, you can actually see the red “wax” on the wing that gives these birds their name.
