Possible Homeless Camp.
Another citizen reporter reported a body found near the 217 at highway 101 Last night general area.
Sounds like a small fire.
No. No ‘possible’ about it. Caltrans and Union Pacific need to get all these encampments cleared out before they burn us down. Save Goleta. Save Santa Barbara. Save Montecito. Please remove the homeless encampments.
I like this idea too. Put them in a contained area like a tent-city. Provide security and portable showers. Round ’em up. Head ’em in! No. They don’t get to choose someplace else, unless it’s out of the county…
All I ha e to say is that if I lost my ho e to a fire, I’d sue the government, cal trans and the rail road. All of these groups are aware of the camps and the dangers they present to health & safety and they ignore it, or choose to do nothing. Negligence.
Since they are aware and choose to not do anything to protect the people they are liable.
I completely agree with SBLetsGetAlong. Create tent cities where it will be The Lord of the Flies society, but at least they won’t be in the bushes torching trees next to homes and businesses. Make vagrancy a crime, and give them a choice of jail or a tent.
