Armed Robbery in Trader Joe’s Parking Lot on Milpas

On 5-4-21, at about 4 pm, the Combined Communication Center received numerous calls related to an incident at Trader Joe’s, 222 N. Milpas Street.

The victim, a wholesale jeweler from out of town, reported to be robbed at gunpoint while seated in a vehicle in the parking lot in front of Trader Joe’s. A large amount of jewelry was taken during the robbery.

The suspects appeared to be targeting the victim and have knowledge of the jewelry in the victim’s possession.

The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.
