221 New COVID-19 Cases in Santa Barbara County

The Public Health Department reports 221 new COVID-19 cases within Santa Barbara County on Wednesday.

There is one death to report today.  The individual was over 70 years old with underlying medical conditions and resided in the Unincorporated areas of the Goleta Valley. The death was associated with an outbreak at a congregate facility.

There have now been 151 deaths.

Of the 15,417 total cases, there are 1,287 infectious cases. Of those there are 113 hospitalizations including 22 in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Santa Barbara County’s ICU availability is 34.7%.
