Santa Barbara is preparing to welcome a new venue to its culinary and entertainment scene.
According to The Restaurant Guy, a new piano-jazz restaurant and lounge, The Grand on State, is set to open soon at 1218 State Street, next to the Granada Theatre in downtown Santa Barbara. The space previously housed restaurants including Namaste Indian Bistro, Tupelo Junction, and Marcello Ristorante.
The venue will reportedly combine live music with fine dining and the lease for the property is in its final stages of completion The restaurant is owned by a local couple from the area. Additionally, local pianist, Brian Mann is said to be involved in it, The Restaurant Guy noted.
Piano Performances and Full Dining Experience
The owners envision a hybrid concept that highlights piano performances while offering a full dining experience at The Grand on State.
The venue aims to create a space where live jazz, dining, and conversation come together.
With a full commercial kitchen already in place, The Grand on State plans to serve a complete dining menu, ranging from appetizers to full meals, which will set it apart from drink-only venues.
