A new indoor pickleball facility, The Picklr, is scheduled to open in Santa Barbara County in May 2026, bringing dedicated indoor courts for the region’s growing pickleball community.
The Picklr Santa Barbara announced on Instagram that its official grand opening is scheduled for May 2, 2026.
The Picklr will be located in Goleta’s Fairview Shopping Center, where the former Bed Bath & Beyond space is being converted into a dedicated indoor pickleball facility. The facility is designed to accommodate beginners, experienced players, and spectators.

The club has introduced a limited Founder Membership program, with sales scheduled to begin March 18 at 10 a.m. through the company’s website.
The first 150 memberships will be offered at $179 per month, followed by 250 memberships priced at $197 per month, for a total of 400 founder memberships.
According to the announcement, founder members will receive a lifetime discounted rate for unlimited access to the facility once it opens.
“We are very excited about this launch and are anticipating these Founder Memberships could go quite fast. We have a limited amount of discounted memberships and once they’re gone, they’re gone”, the owners shared.

The Picklr plans to offer a range of programs, including organized league play and tournaments.
The club will also offer drop-in sessions and court reservations, with programming designed for players of different ages and skill levels.
The facility will also feature artificial intelligence (AI)-powered coaching tools designed to help players practice and improve their skills.
To secure a founder membership, individuals must place a $1 deposit through the website and commit to at least one month of membership.
Once the 400 founder memberships are filled, additional applicants will be placed on a waitlist, with memberships expected to begin at $225 per month.
About The Picklr
The Picklr was founded by Jorge Barragan after he observed growing demand for pickleball courts and limited access to playing space in many communities.
Barragan launched the first Picklr location in 2021 after leaving the technology industry, and the brand has since expanded to multiple locations across the US.
