New Amazon Series Climbs Charts

By TV Jane

The new Amazon series, The Peripheral, has climbed streaming charts to number two this past week.

According to Reelgood’s Top 10 Titles this past week, the science-fiction thriller debuted earlier this week and has steadily gained viewers. Starring Chloe Grace Moretz, the show is set in the future when technology has subtly altered society and Moretz discovers a secret connection to an alternate reality, as well as a dark future of her own.

Netflix’s The Watcher continues to top the list for the second consecutive week.

New on the list is HBO’s horror mystery movie Barbarian at #5 which focuses on a young woman discovering the rental home she booked is already occupied by a stranger. Netflix’s The School for Good and Evil also debuts on the list making #6. The fantasy movie stars Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington with a group of students in an enchanted school where aspiring heroes and villains are trained to protect the balance between good and evil.

Netflix’s thriller movie The Stranger is also new at #9 and follows Joel Edgerton as an undercover cop who forms an intimate relationship with a murder suspect.

What I’m Watching: The Imperfects on Netflix. It follows three young adults who have super powers as a result of an experiment. It’s giving “Umbrella Academy” and “The Boys” vibes and so far I’m interested.
