Multiple Gunshots in Goleta Brings Out Heavy Sheriff’s Response

A flurry of gunshots Tuesday night near Glen Annie and 7700 Calle Real in Goleta was reported by a Sheriff’s deputy about 11 p.m.  Multiple units including a K-9 were called in, backed up by the California Highway Patrol and UC Police.  One vehicle was stopped nearby and searched but the driver and passenger were not involved and let go.  One resident nearby said she heard four shots fired.

  1. This is very concerning as, only a week ago, we had officers respond to 2 shots fired only a few blocks away from here down in Winchester Canyon. I wonder if it was the same people? Either way, having 2 nights within 1 week in the same neighborhood where multiple shots were fired is starting to get troubling.
