Montecito firefighters swiftly responded to a vehicle fire on Highway 101 southbound near the Sheffield off-ramp at noon on Sunday, June 22.

When the crew arrived on the scene, they discovered a small pickup truck fully engulfed in flames. Acting quickly, firefighters extinguished the blaze, preventing further disruption and ensuring the safety of the surrounding area.

Fortunately, the driver of the vehicle evacuated safely and did not sustain any injuries.

The incident briefly impacted traffic in the area, causing delays as firefighters addressed the situation. Thanks to the cooperation between the Montecito Fire Department and California Highway Patrol (CHP), the highway was fully reopened after the fire was subdued.
