As we step into 2022, Montecito Fire would like to share with the community our 2021 Annual Report. In it, we detail our successes and challenges in all aspects of our organization, from day-to-day operations to wildfire prevention work and community engagement.

Here are a few highlights from the 2021 Annual Report:

• Fire Chief’s Message: Chief Kevin Taylor reflects on the past year and looks ahead to 2022.

• Operations Report: Review our total number of calls for service, mutual aid responses, total training hours, hires and retirements over 2021.

• Fire Prevention Report: Learn about the Montecito Fire Prevention Bureau’s numerous vegetation management project as well as the Vent Retrofit Program and our Evacuation Study.

• Financial Status Report: We share our total revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2021.

• Community Engagement: In 2021, Montecito Fire expanded our online presence to better connect with our community.
