Montecito Declared Public Safety Zone

EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: In order to facilitate the ongoing rescue and recovery operation in Montecito and the surrounding areas, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff has declared a PUBLIC SAFETY EXCLUSION ZONE pursuant to CA Penal Code 409.5(a).

 

This includes the area west of Sheffield Drive/East Valley Road/Ladera Lane, east of Olive Mill/Hot Springs Road, north of the ocean, and south of the U.S. Forest Service boundary. Please stay out of this area so that rescuers can do their jobs. Residents are allowed to shelter-in-place in their homes but will not be allowed to move about the area.

Efectivo inmediatamente: Para facilitar la operación de rescate y recuperación en Montecito y las áreas circundantes, el Sheriff del Condado de Santa Bárbara ha declarado una zona de e xclusión de seguridad pública de acuerdo con el Código Penal de CA 409.5 (a). 

 

Esto incluye el área al oeste de Sheffield Drive/East Valley Road/Ladera Lane, al este de Olive Hill/Hot Springs Road, al norte del océano, y al sur del límite de servicio forestal.  Por favor, manténgase fuera de esta área para que los rescatistas puedan hacer su trabajo.  A los residentes se les permite refugiarse en sus hogares, pero no se les permitirá moverse por el área.
