Missing Boater Safely Located, Reports Coast Guard

Update by the U.S. Coast Guard: The overdue boater has contacted their family and is confirmed to be safe.

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for an overdue boater last seen in the Santa Barbara Channel.

The boater is a 44-year-old white male operating a 55-foot vessel named “Wind Down” and their last known position was approximately 20 nautical miles southwest of the Santa Barbara Channel.

The U.S. Coast Guard urges anyone with information to contact them at 310-521-3801.
