Missing At-Risk Senior Found Safe

UPDATE: The missing at-risk senior Kimiko Yamamoto was located a couple of miles away from where she went missing in Solvang. Thanks to everyone who was looking for her and helped locate her. We are happy she is safe with her family.

Public Assistance Requested to Locate At-Risk Missing Senior

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is requesting public assistance to locate a missing at-risk senior who was last seen leaving a hotel in Solvang. 75-year-old Kimiko Yamamoto suffers from Alzheimer’s and Dementia. She was last seen at approximately 4:00 p.m. today, December 11, 2017, walking away from the Holiday Inn Express in the 1400 block of Mission Drive in Solvang. Kimiko was visiting Solvang with her family and they are very concerned about her welfare.

Kimiko Yamamoto is approximately 5’1” tall with grey hair and was wearing a blue shirt and jeans. If you see her or have any information regarding her whereabouts, please call 911.
