Missing At-Risk Adult in Santa Maria

A citizen of the Orcutt community located the missing adult and called the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department. He has been safely returned home. The Santa Maria Police Department thanks the community for their assistance.

The Santa Maria Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing at-risk elderly male. The missing person, Guillermo Abelon (80 yrs. of age), walked away from his residence in the 1600 Blk. of N. Bay at about 10 am this morning. It is unknown where he was en route to and he was not reported missing until 2pm. 


Abelon was last seen wearing a short sleeve black and white button-up shirt, blue jeans, and tannish brown shoes. Anyone who has seen him today or has information on his possible whereabouts is urged to contact the Santa Maria Police Department at 928-3781, ext. 2297.
