An at-risk 84-year-old man who was the subject of an overnight search in Santa Barbara has been found safe near his home, authorities said.
The Santa Barbara Police Department announced this morning that the man was safely located after being reported missing from the 800 block of Willowglen Road.
Police had earlier asked the public for help, noting he suffers from a memory-related condition and his whereabouts were unknown.
Reporter John Palminteri said the man was found disoriented but safe in the area of a creek near his home following an all-night search involving Santa Barbara Police officers, Search and Rescue teams, and family members.
In the initial alert, police described him as approximately 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, with white hair and blue eyes, and asked anyone with information to call 805-882-8900 or 9-1-1.
No additional details about his condition or how he was found were immediately released.
