Missile Launched Early Wednesday Morning

An unarmed Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile was launched during an operational test at 2:42 a.m. PT, Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif., May 1.

Vandenberg Air Force Base has scheduled at Minuteman III missile launch between 1:16 a.m. and 7:16 a.m. Wednesday.

The missile will be unarmed and will test the weapon system. 

Don’t be alarmed if you’re woken up by loud sounds early in the morning.
