Mighty Pilates has opened a new studio in downtown Santa Barbara on November 6, 2025, marking the company’s recent expansion to the California market.
The studio is located in one of the county’s busiest areas near the State Street Promenade, Paseo Nuevo, local cafes and galleries.
Mighty Pilates says the space reflects the charm and energy of State Street while offering a warm, welcoming environment for clients.
The company plans to bring its signature approach to full-body movement, creative sequencing, and community-focused fitness to the new location.
According to the company, the studio features bright, sunlit interiors with old Spanish-style architecture. The design is intended to create an energizing and motivating workout environment, according to Mighty Pilates.
The studio includes a large Reformer room with 12 Balanced Body Studio Reformers, two private rooms for one-on-one training. Mighty Pilates says its classes blend classical Pilates principles with higher-intensity movement.
To mark the opening, the company is offering promotional rates, such as new clients can buy five classes for $99 or three private sessions for $225, and existing clients have the opportunity to try three classes for $73.
Additionally, a Mighty Monthly Pass is available for $195 per month, which includes 10 classes and offers further discounts.

About Mighty Pilates
Mighty Pilates was founded by Cricket Wardein, who came across Pilates in 2007 in Australia, according to its website. She enjoyed the atmosphere of group classes that used multiple Reformers at once and believed that people in the U.S. would appreciate a blend of classical Pilates and upbeat, dynamic workouts.
Wardein opened the first Mighty Pilates in San Francisco in 2009.
Throughout the years, the company has opened studios in various locations and by fall 2023, it had expanded further to Berkeley and Westwood Village through the support of Michelle Hatsushi.
