Marymount Students Start Beanie Drive for Homeless

By an edhat reader

Inspired by the work of her older brothers with the Jordan Elf Project and their weekly volunteering at PATH, a local homeless shelter and rehabilitation center, Jasmine Lind decided to run a beanie drive for the residents of PATH.

She recruited her girlfriends Isabella Stovall, Emily Smith,  Simone Blanc and Ellie Cogert, all 5th-grade classmates at Marymount School. They were initially hoping to collect 100 beanies, but ended up collecting and delivering 127 beanies to PATH.

“With my friends and I stuck inside most of the pandemic, my friends and I just really wanted to help the homeless with a warm gift for the holidays,” said Lind.
