Mario Luigi Domenico Cosma, 78, died August 26, 2017 from the complications of Alzheimer’s Disease. Mario was born on May 5th (“Cinco de Mario”), 1939 in Santa Barbara, California to Noemi Rita Cosma and Domenico Cosma.
He graduated from Santa Barbara Catholic High School and was a decorated 4-year letterman, once throwing 27 consecutive no-hit innings. He also attended one year of college at Santa Barbara City College where he played baseball and then attended two years at College of the Canyons in Valencia, CA.
