Day 9 Answer
This dilapidated former drive-in movie theatre was the once glorious Valley Drive-In, located at 2126 N. H Street in Lompoc. It’s now home to the Drive-In Recycling and Valley Roll-Off.
The Calvert family originally opened the Valley Drive-in on August 26, 1959 showing “The Big Circus” & Gordon Scott in “Tarzan’s Greatest Adventure.” It was constructed to accommodate 850 cars, with a 50-by-100-foot screen, lounge, snack bar and playground.
The drive-in closed in 1998 and has mostly remained empty ever since, though much of the snack bar and some of the other relics remain on the site.

The first thing I found was an article in The Independent from 2020 with almost this exact picture, saying it was the West Wind. Luckily for me I listened to the little voice in the back of my head saying, “No, that’s not right”.
