ANSWER

While there are many historic bells in Santa Barbara County, this one makes its home at Carpinteria Middle School at 5351 Carpinteria Ave in Carpinteria.

“This bell was salvaged from the Rincon Grammar School by Lloyd R. “Jake” Hales and donated to Carpinteria High School. The school was located on Casitas Pass Road at the present site of Carpinteria Lions Park from the early 1870s to 1913. The high school used the bell as part of student support at athletic events. The bell was refurbished and mounted here in 2000,” according to a plaque next to the bell.
