Nov 19, 2019 03:15 PMOne of the recent huge fires south of us was started when a dump truck unloaded burning material on the roadside during a heavy wind. Glad this one ended well. If the driver had stopped on a surface street what was he supposed to do then? Sounds like he made the right decision.

Nov 19, 2019 07:52 PMCommon sense people drove it to safe place; it was in a contained space...….

Nov 19, 2019 08:52 PMThat was the Sandlewood Fire that started by a garbage truck dumping it's burning load near a field right next to a mobile home park on a extremely windy day. Investigators are still thinking of charging the driver with a crime. Totally avoidable and it killed two people. Locals in Calimesa are highly suspicious of why he would do something so careless seeing as he could have driven it to a safer place. This driver here deserves a safety award and recognition.

Nov 20, 2019 08:27 AMKudos to MarBorg, and a smart driver for finding a safe place to dump the load, and avoid what could have been a dangerous outcome.
