Narrative:
An Amtrak train bound for Goleta was evacuated in Moorpark Saturday morning when a man wearing a tactical vest and acting strangely locked himself in a bathroom onboard. All 93 passengers and five crew members were evacuated from the train while SWAT team members contacted the man, who was quickly detained. Don Hamilton was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance after deputies determined the vest he was wearing was not a ballistic tactical vest, he was not armed, and he had made no threats to anyone while on the train. He had boarded the Amtrak Surfliner at the Simi Valley train station, where Amtrak personnel had seen him put on the camouflaged vest as he quickly jumped on the train and locked himself inside the bathroom. Bomb squad personnel checked the train before it was cleared for passengers to continue to their destination. Hamilton’s vest was one commonly used by paintball enthusiasts. Hamilton was booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility in Ventura.
He locked himself in the bathroom isn’t that what locks are for? They thought he was wearing a tactical vest, they thought…..Oh but he was under the influence that ought to net him about 10 years.
Look again, that is not a fanny pack…hello, shoulder straps, check the label…same place, nape of ones neck as any backpack and lots of ammo pockets…………………of course I realize you’re kidding , even here it would be hard to find one that lame.
