Major Traffic Collision on Hwy 154 near Foxen Canyon Road

Santa Barbara County firefighters responded to the scene of a head-on traffic collision on Highway 154 Wednesday evening.

At 6:28 p.m., crews arrived just west of Los Olivos and discovered a collision between two vehicles with two critical patients requiring heavy extrication.

Both patients were transported by a CalStar helicopter and county air support unit to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. 

The collision is under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
