A 1.36-acre property in Santa Barbara’s Montecito has been listed for $8.25 million, according to a listing on Redfin.
Once home to Hollywood legend Jane Russell, the estate at 2934 Torito Road includes a 3,678 sq ft main residence, a separate one-bedroom guest house, and a studio apartment above the two-car garage, according to the listing.
Spanning nearly 1,000 sq ft, the guest house and studio apartment add more flexible options for guests or workspace needs.
Built in 1964, the two-story primary residence has been renovated with a classic mid-century modern design, featuring open, sunny spaces that open out into the outdoors.

The estate includes six bedrooms, four-and-a-half bathrooms, along with a pool and spa, an outdoor sports court, a pool house, and a creek flowing through the grounds.
Inside, the estate features a primary bedroom and primary bathroom on the ground floor as well as a kitchen and dining area. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, tankless water heater, and other appliances. On the first floor there are three additional bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Additional rooms include an office, a den, and two family rooms.
The guest house features a bathroom and a kitchen.
Outdoor amenities include a deck, open patio, a hot tub, barbecue area, and landscaped gardens with several fruit trees.
Located minutes from Summerland, Padaro Beach, and Loon Beach, the property is also close to the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club, according to the listing.
The estate was previously sold in March 2005 for $2.12 million, the listing stated.

Russell offloaded the property in July 1999 for $1.95 million. She reportedly owned the house for 15 years and decided to sell it after the death of her husband, John Peoples.
The property is listed by Kate Blackwood and Santa van der Laarse of Compass.
